Maureen Erwin has led grassroots campaigns in California for over 20 years and trained hundreds of organizers in her successful campaigns for local, state, and US Congress elections, ballot measures and labor unions, maintaining a win record of over 80%.

She led ballot measure campaigns that have secured over $500 million in funding for schools, roads, parks and transit infrastructure in California, each requiring 66.7% voter approval. From 2016 – 2018 she was a political columnist for the San Francisco Examiner, writing about local politics, astroturf and disinformation.

Past campaigns include leading the 2014 San Francisco soda tax campaign; the 2016 Sonoma County effort that defeated Monsanto and created the largest GMO-free growing zone in the US; and initiating and launching the campaign that recalled Santa Clara County Judge Aaron Persky after his sentencing in The People of the State of California v. Brock Allen Turner.

Past clients include Governor Jerry Brown; California State Senator Scott Wiener; San Francisco Mayor London Breed; and Congressman John Garamendi. She studied Cultural Anthropology at San Francisco State University.
